This locum Nurse Practitioner role in Cardiac Surgery involves covering a Level I trauma program during a recruitment gap. The position requires approximately 10 days of coverage per month, including two weekends, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Call is required 10 days per month with a 1:3 call ratio.
The role includes inpatient post-operative care, ICU coverage, and office-based responsibilities, with an average daily patient census of 12. The practice model is autonomous, with daily physician support available by phone. Credentialing is estimated at 60–90 days, with potential for expedited processing. Compensation rates are open for bids, and malpractice coverage is provided.
Experience in inpatient care and surgical settings preferred.
Collaborative practice with daily physician support and 24/7 backup.
Adult and geriatric patients with a diverse case mix.
Utilize Epic EMR for patient management.
Level I trauma program with multiple affiliated sites.
Average daily census of approximately 12 patients.
Monday–Friday from 8:00am–4:00pm, with call required 10 days per month.
