About This Position

This locum tenens position offers an exciting opportunity to provide critical care in a neuro-trauma ICU setting. The role includes managing high-acuity patients with a focus on neurosurgery and trauma, performing essential procedures, and ensuring comprehensive patient care without the burden of on-call duties.

The facility is seeking candidates who are board certified and have relevant experience, with a clean malpractice history. Compensation is competitive, with travel expenses reimbursed and malpractice coverage provided. Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

Manage neurosurgery and trauma ICU patients, including brain, neck, and spine emergency surgery cases.
Perform low to moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair and peripheral IV access.
Conduct high-risk procedures including G-tube placement, intubation, and chest tube insertion.

Administrative

Complete credentialing within 30–60 days of application submission.

Qualifications

Required

Board Certified NP (ANCC/AANP) or PA (NCCPA)
Active state license
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in neurosurgery or neurocritical care

Preferred

ATLS certification

Certifications

ACLS and DEA required

Experience

Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in neurosurgery, neuro-trauma, or neurocritical care.

Patient Volume

Manage a caseload of 15-20 patients daily.

Schedule

10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call responsibilities.
