Responsibilities Exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Intensivist to join our growing practice at North Austin Medical Center. Responsibilities include admissions and patient management, consultation with families and referring physicians. Excellent sub-specialty support is available, including pediatric infectious disease, gastroenterology, pulmonology, and some cardiology, with complex cardiac issues transferred out.
Schedule Day shifts are from 7am-5pm and nights from 5pm-7am, with night shifts from home. Physicians are required to come in for all admissions, consults, and patient emergencies, with an expectation of coming in about 40% of the nights they are on call.
Teaching Opportunities Affiliated with Texas A&M School of Medicine, there are opportunities to work with medical students at every level, and we are the primary site for the pediatrics clerkship.
