About This Position

POSITION SUMMARY: As a Radiologic Technologist at CHRISTUS Health, you will perform essential radiographic procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging for patient diagnosis. You will be responsible for providing care to patients while obtaining diagnostic images as requested by physicians.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required or must be obtained within two weeks from the date of hire or transfer.

SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology, and basic computer skills.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year of experience required, which can be substituted with clinical education experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This role requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift, position, push, and transfer patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

Perform radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
Obtain diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Provide care for patients during imaging procedures.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
ARRT and New Mexico State licenses.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Certifications

ARRT certification
New Mexico State license

Experience

Minimum one year of experience required, which can be substituted with clinical education experience.
