This position qualifies for a $10K Sign-on Bonus + $5K Relocation if applicable. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department at CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline Hospital, you will be responsible for providing immediate and efficient care to patients who are experiencing life-threatening injuries or illnesses. ER Nurses must have a strong knowledge base in emergency medicine, critical care, and trauma care to provide the best possible care to patients in emergency situations. You will work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, quickly assessing and stabilizing patients while deciding on the best course of treatment.
You will be expected to meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies, providing nursing care utilizing the nursing process, addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. You will also document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given, while assessing learning needs and providing education to patients and their families.
Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire, and all newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation. Skills completion and competency verification will be achieved with the preceptor at the bedside.
