As a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg department at CHRISTUS Health, you will practice independently while providing both routine and complex care to patients. You will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care. This role requires a strong commitment to addressing the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
You will administer medications and treatments, ensuring to monitor for side effects and effectiveness. Documentation of patient history, symptoms, and care provided is essential. Additionally, you will assess learning needs and provide education to patients and their families, ensuring they are well-informed about their care.
The position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a current RN License. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory, with a preference for candidates who have at least one year of experience in a related nursing specialty. The work schedule is from 7 PM to 7 AM, and this is a full-time, in-person position.
