About This Position

As an Ultrasound Technologist at CHRISTUS Health, you will perform a variety of imaging procedures and support other imaging technologists to ensure efficient patient flow. You will be responsible for the operation of ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting basic maintenance issues, and participating in quality assurance activities. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as you may be required to work at different campuses and shifts.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Adapt patient assessment and treatment methods to meet individual needs.

Administrative

Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.

Qualifications

Required

Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology.
BLS certification required.

Preferred

1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred.

Certifications

Sonography (S) by ARRT or RDMS by ARDMS required within 1 year of hire.

Experience

Experience in ultrasound scanning is preferred.

PRN, with flexibility to work various shifts and campuses as needed.
